About Dr Sim Beng Joo

As a dual-credentialed TCM Physician and Biomedical Scientist, Dr. Sim Beng Joo brings over 20 years of experience as a leader in Food and Health Science research. She bridges the gap between ancient wisdom and modern clinical precision, holding a PhD in Biochemistry from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

As a pioneer in the Suboptimal Health paradigm, Dr. Sim focuses on the physiological impacts of modern lifestyles. Her research and clinical practice address the “nascent gap” in healthcare, identifying and treating conditions that manifest as chronic fatigue, digestive issues, and inflammatory syndromes before they escalate into chronic disease.

“As a biomedical scientist and TCM practitioner, I bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern clinical precision. My passion is intercepting ‘suboptimal health’ before it becomes chronic disease, using evidence-based science to transform your well-being.”

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Sim is a respected educator at the Singapore College of TCM, where she lectures on Contemporary Nutrition & Dietetics, further establishing her as a thought leader in the Singapore TCM community.
