Difficulty Falling Asleep Tea for Blood, Qi, and calm mind

Dried lily bulb (百合, Bai He), Poria with hostwood (茯神, Fu Shen), dried longan (龙眼肉, Long Yan Rou), and seedless red dates (无核红枣) nourish Blood, replenish Qi, and settle the mind when sleep will not start. A 30-minute kitchen simmer, not a nightly medicine dose.

In brief

In TCM, difficulty falling asleep with thin colour or drained energy often sits with Blood and Qi not anchoring the mind. Difficulty Falling Asleep Tea uses 3–5 dried lily bulbs (Bai He), 10 g Fu Shen, about ½ cup dried longan, and 1 cup seedless red dates with 500 ml water, boiled then simmered for 30 minutes. Drink two to three times a week. Educational food therapy, not a substitute for an insomnia consult.

  • Bai He, Fu Shen, longan, and red dates. Boil, then simmer 30 minutes.

FAQs

Quick questions

What is in Difficulty Falling Asleep Tea?

Dried lily bulbs (Bai He) 3–5 pieces, Fu Shen (Poria with hostwood) 10 g, about ½ cup dried longan (Long Yan Rou), and 1 cup seedless red dates, simmered in 500 ml water for 30 minutes after bringing to a boil.

How is this different from Dreamful Sleep Tea?

This pot nourishes Blood and Qi with lily bulb, Fu Shen, longan, and red dates when falling asleep feels hard and energy runs thin. Dreamful Sleep Tea uses polygala, ophiopogon, and spine date seeds for a restless mind before bed. Mind Relaxing Tea is a cooling steep for Liver-linked 1–3am waking.

Why skip this tea after flu?

The kitchen recipe notes it is not suitable while recovering from flu. Sweet Blood-nourishing fruit and tonifying herbs can trap residual exterior pathogens. Wait until the acute phase has clearly settled, or ask a physician.

How often can I drink it?

Two to three times a week is the usual educational habit from the kitchen recipe. It is not a nightly medicine dose. Ease off if you feel heaty, bloated, or stools loosen.
