White chrysanthemum and wolfberry tea for tired eyes

White chrysanthemum (白菊花, Bai Ju Hua) is the gentler flower. Paired with wolfberries, it is a classic kitchen steep when the Liver and the eyes feel strained after screens.

In brief

In TCM, the Liver opens into the eyes. White chrysanthemum is used to clear Liver heat and brighten vision. With wolfberries (枸杞, Gou Qi), this tea is educational food therapy for dry, tired, or sore eyes after long screen time. It is cooling and caffeine-free. It does not replace an eye or physician visit.

FAQs

Quick questions

How often can I drink white chrysanthemum tea?

About once every two to three days for casual use. Daily cooling teas can weaken the Spleen for some people. A short burst of a few days is for clear heaty signs, then stop until they return.

Is this the same as Dry Eye Alleviation Tea?

Closely related. Dry Eye Alleviation Tea is the Tea Series name for Ju Hua with Gou Qi Zi in a 6–10 g range. This page names Bai Ju Hua with fixed gram weights. Choose the flower and dose you have, or ask a physician.

Is this the same as yellow chrysanthemum tea?

No. White chrysanthemum is the gentler flower, used more for the eyes and the Liver. Yellow chrysanthemum is the wind-heat cold flower, often paired with honeysuckle. They are not interchangeable.
