列缺 · Broken Sequence sits on the Lung meridian, about two finger-widths above the radial wrist crease. A classic home press when Lung Qi and defensive Wei Qi need everyday support.
In brief
Lie Que (列缺, LU7) sits on the radial side of the forearm, about one and a half cun (roughly two finger-widths) above the wrist crease, in the hollow beside the radial styloid. Using your thumb, press gently into the point, then rub in a circular motion for about one minute. Switch sides. Home press is often used to regulate Lung energy and support everyday resistance. Stop if pain sharpens.
Point guide
Rest the forearm palm-down or slightly rotated. From the radial wrist crease, measure about two finger-widths toward the elbow on the thumb side. Feel for a tender hollow beside the styloid, not on hard bone.
Using your thumb, press gently into the point, then rub in a circular motion for about one minute. A dull ache (酸胀) is the usual cue. Sharp shooting pain means ease off and relocate.
Repeat on the other forearm. Both sides are usual when supporting Lung Qi and everyday Wei Qi between visits.
Ease off if the press feels sharp, numb, or wrong. Mild ache that eases on release is common. Sudden breathlessness, chest pain, or high fever need urgent care, not self-press.
