Ying Xiang sits in the nasolabial groove beside the nostril. He Gu sits in the webbing between thumb and index finger. Gentle home press for nasal obstruction and facial circulation.
In brief
Two points often used for sinus self-care: Ying Xiang (LI20) in the groove beside each nostril, to ease nasal obstruction and local sensitivity, and He Gu (LI4) in the hand webbing, to move circulation toward the face. Massage both Ying Xiang for one minute, then both He Gu for one minute. Skip He Gu in pregnancy.
Routine
In the nasolabial groove, at the outermost point of the nostril, level with the midpoint of the alar border. Use a fingertip on both sides. Circle gently for one minute. Ying Xiang is the local nasal point for obstruction and a sensitive, reactive nose.
On the back of the hand, in the webbing between the thumb and index finger, in a hollow along the middle of the second metacarpal bone. Press both hands for one minute. He Gu is a command point of the face and is used to move qi and blood toward the nose.
Try today Locate Ying Xiang beside both nostrils and circle for one minute, then He Gu on both hands.

No. Skip He Gu in pregnancy. Ying Xiang beside the nostril is the local nasal point if a physician has already agreed home press is suitable.
Once or twice a day is a common educational habit. Keep the press kind. If blockage, facial pain, or coloured mucus keeps returning, book a consult rather than adding more home pressure.
