How TCM reads the jab
Tai Yang · healthy Qi · heat
A vaccination is often read as a short external heat challenge at the Tai Yang surface. Healthy Qi meeting that challenge can show as mild headache, heatiness, and fatigue.
TCM is known for preventive care. Classical febrile-disease teaching, including the Treatise on Febrile Diseases (伤寒论), still frames how physicians read severe flu-like heat and damp patterns. COVID pathogenesis in TCM often includes dampness, yang heat, and stagnation.
Mild short-lived side effects are common after many vaccines, especially after a second or booster dose. Home press, kitchen teas, sleep timing, and clinic acupuncture or cupping can support those mild patterns. They do not replace vaccination advice or urgent care for serious reactions.
