Vision Brightening Tea for dry, strained eyes

Dendrobium (石斛, Shi Hu) and Solomon’s seal (玉竹, Yu Zhu) moisten Yin. Wolfberries (枸杞子, Gou Qi Zi) support the Liver and the eyes. A short kitchen steep when screens leave the eyes dry and tired.

In brief

Place 10 g dendrobium (Shi Hu), 5 g Solomon’s seal (Yu Zhu), and 5 g wolfberries in a cup. Pour boiling water, cover, and steep five to ten minutes. Sip while warm. In TCM, dry eyes often sit with Yin not moistening the orifices. This Tea Series steep is educational food therapy for screen dryness. It does not replace tears, optometry, or a physician visit.

FAQs

Quick questions

What is Vision Brightening Tea?

It is PULSE’s Tea Series name for a three-herb kitchen steep: dendrobium (Shi Hu) 10 g, Solomon’s seal (Yu Zhu) 5 g, and wolfberries (Gou Qi Zi) 5 g. The cup is used when dry, strained eyes need Yin moisture after screens. It is food therapy, not a vision cure or optometry substitute.

How do I make Vision Brightening Tea?

Put all three herbs in a cup, pour boiling water over them, cover, and steep five to ten minutes. Sip while warm. Use about 250–400 ml water for one cup.

How often can I drink this tea?

For casual kitchen use, once every two to three days is enough for many people. The dry eyes Insight notes a denser educational rhythm of three days a week, twice a day, when dryness is the main picture. Stop if digestion cools or stools loosen.

Is this the same as chrysanthemum wolfberry tea?

No. Chrysanthemum with wolfberry leans toward clearing Liver heat and brightening vision. This blend leans toward moistening Yin fluids. Choose by how your eyes and body feel, or ask a physician.

Can I drink Vision Brightening Tea in pregnancy?

If there's any chance of pregnancy, don't use this. Ask a physician before brewing medicinal herbs while pregnant or breastfeeding.
